I enjoy animated websites so I'm trying to make this one entertaining for my visitors. In my pursuit of interesting goodies to add to these pages I came across a number of websites using "Train Gifs". The concept originated with Dan Klitzing on his website Dan's Depot. These train gifs are miniature graphics of all manner of railroad equipment, accurately rendered and to a consistant scale, making them interchangeable, just like model railroad equipment. I was inspired to try my hand at these after visiting the site noted above and also Bay Area Railroads and RailMation.

The gifs on these pages are my own creation, unless noted otherwise, and are available to anyone who may want to use or modify them for their own websites. I only request that an e-mail be sent to me to let me know where my toys end up (I enjoy seeing how other folks use them) and that a link is provided back to this site.

Unfortunately, this page won't work well with Netscape Navigator, the images just stack up instead of behaving properly. Sorry 'bout that...

I've just gotten started on these and will be adding to them over time. To save an image, right click on it and select "save image as" and save them to your computer. Don't link drawings directly from this site as it creates problems for the servers (and I'm likely to rename images as I work on them...) Have fun!
