Lake Perry Mountain Bike trails are, IMHO, some of the best trails within driving distance of KC. Just northwest of Lawrence, these trails are what I would consider intermediate in difficulty. As I write this, I am still recovering from a great ride this morning and afternoon. Rocky and hilly, but well laid out and supurbly maintained. I was continually impressed as I rode with the amount of hours it must have taken to build some sections of this trail. Some of the bench cuts seemed to stretch on forever on some very rocky, steep hills.
