  John Bunderman

John BUNDERMAN was born in Holland and had only been in the United States for a few years when he met and married Mary Ann KINDREY {KINTRY} (b.March 06, 1843 d.June 12, 1956). Shortly after the birth of their only son, Charles Quinter Bunderman (b.January 19, 1872) he wanted to return to Holland. His wife Mary refused to go and would not allow him to take their son so one day he went to Myerstown, Pa. and never returned. Close friends in the Immel and Gibson families say they received letters from him in Holland.

The only info that can be found about John BUNDERMAN that even gives his surname is listed below. John would have returned to Holland between 1872 and 1877. Without his birth date I cannot find where and when he returned precisely. Also, I have not been able to find when he actually arrived here. Also for some unknown reason all male grandchildren were given the middle name of QUINTER.

Tulpehocken Trinity Church Records:

Mary Ann Kindrey BUNDERMAN later remarried to one George GIBSON in 1877. No record of divorce was ever found. She later committed suicide by walking in front of a train.

John Gensimer

The first mention found in historical records of the family within this area is from the History of Huntington and Blair Counties by J. Simpson Africa, 1883,on page 269 " The Gensimer, Pat. Madden, Dysart, Plum Bottom, Stewart, Seeds, and other farms are parts of the London Company's land, and were warranted in 1766."

The next known mention was within the 1820 Census where John Gensimer was listed with 10 in the household. He died later between March 9 and April 8, 1833 in Franklin Township, Huntington County, Pennsylvania. His will {Will Book #3 Pages 402 & 403 Huntington County}lists his wife Elizabeth and seven of his children.

I am trying to locate any and all information on his resting place and or birth date which is approximately 1774 according to the birth of his first known child.
