Adjust TCB
Intel
(LW 7.5 thru 8.2)

1/30/05

Adjust TCB is a Layout Tool and is an improved (I think) take on the built-in "Move TCB". Adjust TCB does not create keyframes where none exist, and it displays the TCB readout in the viewport where it can be more easily seen.

It will operate on multiply-selected items, and it has an Options panel which allows you to select which channels and channel groups to adjust, and whether or not to convert non-TCB keyframes (Bezier, Linear, etc.) to TCB.

To use: LMB controls Tension, ctl-LMB controls Continuity, RMB controls Bias, and ctl-RMB brings up the Options panel.

Recommend intstallation in the Tools portion of the Modify tab menu, and setting a hot-key for quick access.

DefaultTension.p
Intel
(LW 8.2 ONLY)

1/30/05

Default Tension replicates the long-lost (LW5.6?) Default Tension feature that sets the tension of new keyframes to whatever you want. As you create keyframes in the main Layout window, using the Enter key, it will set the tension on the new keys automatically.

Default Tension is a Master class plugin, which uses the new feature of 8.2 that ties it to the program, rather than to a scene file. It will stay active and remember it's settings after quitting and restarting Layout.

Unlike the MoveTCB tool, it doesn't create new keyframes on channels where there are none.

It does not set the tension when Auto Key Create is used, but doing an enter-key keyframe-create will set the tension on the keys made by Auto Key Create. It also will not interfere with creating keyframes in the Graph Editor directly. Also, it only sets the tension on TCB keyframes, thus not mucking up Bezier or other types.

DRLA.p
Intel
Mac

2/3/05
-

Deluxe RLA. (The Plugin Formerly Known as XRLA.) A combination Image Loader, Image Saver and Image Filter. The filter and saver work together to save various types of Wavefront RLA images. Different formats can be chosen for the image's channels (color, matte and depth): 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit and floating point. The image loader can load all these types of RLA images.
Note: Do not confuse this with an "Extended RLA" image saver, which is a entirely different beast. This plugin merely supports the legal varieties of the standard RLA format.
3/19/04 Update: Version 3 adds options to have the FP depth buffer normalized or not, and to use a positive or negative scale.
Version 4 fixes a minor interface bug that appeared in LW 8.2.

LOL.p
Intel

3/5/02

LOL (Load Object Layers) Allows you to view and load a multiple-layer object's layers, either singly or via multiple-select. Displays the layer's number and name (if any.) Also includes a similar "Replace Object Layer" plugin.

Directional Select
This is a Modeler LScript that selects polygons facing a particular direction (up, down, left, right, back, front), and optionally gives them a new surface name.
Modified to work with LW 6. (1/18/01). And yet again for 7.5, 8.0.1 & 8.2 (2/1/05), cha cha cha.

ZBufConvert.exe
Intel

4/30/99

ZBufConvert
A command line utility which converts WCS IFF ZBUF files to Softimaaage *.Zpic files. (Useful in Digital Fusion, for example.) To use, put the program in the same directory as the *.ZB files, open a command prompt window, cd to that directory, and type "ZBufConvert". It will create a subdirectory called "ZPicFiles" and place the new ZPic files there with the same names, but with a "Zpic" extension.

Z2ZPic
A LightWave image filter plugin which saves LW's depth buffer as Softimaaage *.Zpic files.   Source code
THANKS to Jonas Gustavsson and Dan Katzenberger for the Alpha version!

LazyPointsMP (More Polite)
The stock LazyPoints plugins overwrite an object's morphing, bone distortion and other displacement plugin effects. LazyPointsMP does not modify other displacements and gets along with bones and morphing. An interface provides a means of varying the "Lag Rate" time delay and buttons to selectively enable falloff on the X, Y or Z axes.
THANKS to Bill Hemenway for compiling the Alpha version!
