Tune: Pole Folder & CP - Bokoto 10PM

Although there really isn't anything particularly exceptional about this track's composition or production per se, the fact that it's been stuck in my head for nearly a week might be evidence to the contrary. "Bokoto 10PM" is a simple, high-energy house track with a brilliant melodic hook that grabs you instantly and refuses to let go. The track was included on Nick Warren's Paris compilation on Global Underground and is currently scheduled for release as part of Pole Folder's Buenos Aires EP on Hope, though no release date has been announced as of yet. Tune: Misstress Barbara - Barcelona

Misstress Barbara delivers again, this time on James Holden's Border Community. The hypnotizing original is just immaculate; a near perfect track. And it's backed up by a remix provided by the Border Community man himself.

Tune: 16 Bit Lolitas - Neptune/Non-Verbal Language

2007 looks to be another huge year for the 16 Bit Lolitas, starting with these two mammoth tracks, both of which are coming out on Hope. I especially love the deep groove and filtered chords on "Neptune." Check out the Lolita's MySpace to hear them.

Tune: Rogue Audio - Custom Made

Remember Dave Seaman's excellent Essential Mix in late 2004? Remember the opening track by Cass & Luke Chable, "Opiate?" Remember its warm, nostalgia-laden production? Ahhh. Tune.

Well after waiting for nearly 4 years for the track to be released, the track has finally seen the light of day. A downtempo remake of the track is featured on the recently released Afterhours 3 compilation on Global Underground, and is also for digital download in unmixed format on Beatport. The track is apparently part of Cass' upcoming Rogue Audio album.

Dousk - Mocca EP

The next release due from Mashtronic records is huge. Greek prodigy Dousk has produced two superb tracks that are among the finest he's ever done. "Acrobatics", which was featured on John Digweed's Triple J Mix in October, is a dark, driving, progressive beast that will destroy any dance floor it's played on. "Biz 1982", which was featured on one of Digweed's Kiss 100 mixes back in October, is a more modern electro-prog number with an anthemic lead synth line and a relentless bassline. Following on from December's "Caribou", Dousk is on a role. 2007 promises to be a big year for him.
