‘OUR AUTHORITY’

Let’s start off by looking at some key scriptures that show us that though we are in this world, we are not of this world. John 17: 14, 16 and 15: 19

I have given them thy Word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15: 19 “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Now let’s look at Gen. 1: 26 – 28 And God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the likeness of God created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

Let’s look up some of these words.

SUBDUE : kabash: to conquer, keep under, bring into subjection.

DOMINION: radah: to tread down, have dominion, reign, rule-(-r, over), take.

Subdue in verse 28 means to, keep under and bring into subjection (to the authority given).

Dominion in verses 26, 28 means, to reign and be ruler over all things that move upon the earth.

In this passage it clearly states, man has all authority over the all that flew, and all that crawled upon the earth. But Satan beguiled Eve. Adam just flat out disobeyed God, in what God had told him about the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He ate of the fruit from the tree; he knew what God had told him, God told Adam, if you eat of this tree, you will surely die, in selfsame day that you eat of it.

Would you like to know what Adam and Eve looked like? Keep in mind, Adam was created in God’s Image And in His Likeness, and that God does not just through His words around. Look at Ezek. 1: 26-28 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of A sapphire stone: and upon the likeness if the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of His loins even upward, and from the appearance of His loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.  As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the brightness round about. This was the appearance if the likeness of the Glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” This Is Our rightful place in the presence of God; this is what Adam gave up. This is how they were able to see each other after eating of the fruit, so ponder this in your prayer time, ask the Lord to reveal this to you. Do not judge this with a religious mind, for if you do, you Will surely miss out on something wonderful.

When Adam ate of this fruit, which was given to him by Eve, Adam died. He died a spiritual death, and began to die physically. Adam died the very second he ate of the fruit, at this time, Satan’s nature, his very essence entered Adam and God’s left Adam. At this time God was on the out side looking in at His man Adam, who had just given everything God had given him, all authority, all rule, all dominion, all that God had placed on the earth for Adam, was now in the hands of God’s enemy, Satan!

You see Satan wanted what Adam had, authority, dominion, and power, and ruled over everything that was in the earth. See Satan was not created in God’s class, man however, was, Satan wanted this more than anything.

Satan had tried to take control over all things once before, but not with mankind. When Satan did this, he failed miserably, Jesus said Himself, I saw Satan fall as lightning from heaven. Satan tried placing his throne above the throne of God. Would you like to see this from the Word?

Let’s look at Ezek. 28: 11- 18; do not think that this prophet was just talking to the King of Tyrus, he wasn’t. You see this King had never been on Eden the garden of God. Now as this Prophet speaks, you will see that it is not the King himself that he speaks too.

Ezek. 28: 11- 18 More over the Word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the King of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the Jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the Holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.”

Lets stop and look at just what Satan had attempted to do. Turn to Isa. 14: 12- 17. We will be looking at 12 – 14: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the Ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said if thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north, I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

You know, after reading this, it describes what heaven looks like. Sure it does, look; I will ascend, which means to go Up, and in this case, into heaven, also, above the stars Of God, what, God has stars in heaven? And in the sides of the North, so now we have telemetry, or distance, such as north, south, east and west, and finally, Satan wanted to be Above the clouds of God. Hmm, the way this sounds, it’s like here on this earth, but they are two different places.

After reading all of this, I hope you will see that Satan is the prince of the world.

Even Jesus calls him, the prince of this world. John 12: 31/ 14: 30/ 16: 11 You will see that Jesus refers to Satan as the prince of the world. You see, he had all the authority, and power, and dominion in the world, sure he did, Adam Gave it to him when he fell! If this was not true, why then did Satan tempt Jesus with it? For Jesus to be tempted, it would have to be true.

Look at Luke 4: 2, 5- 8; (Amp.) “For (during) forty days in the wilderness(desert), where He was tempted (tried, tested exceedingly) by the devil. And ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, He was hungry. (3a) THEN the devil SAID to Him, (5) Then the devil Took Him up to a high mountain, and showed Him All the Kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time --- in the twinkling of an eye; and he said to Him, To you I will Give All This Power and Authority and their Glory, (that is, all their magnificence, excellence, pre-eminence, dignity and grace,) FOR IT HAS BEEN TURNED OVER TO ME, and I Give it to whom I will; therefore if you will do homage to and worship me (Just once), it shall be yours.”

Can you see what Satan was trying to do? Remember, don’t read this in a religious mind set, you will with out a doubt, miss it. What did Jesus come into this world for? Yes to redeem mankind from the going to hell, but what else? To undo all that Adam had done.

Adam brought spiritual and physical death into the world when he gave all that was given to him from God, to the devil. Jesus had to undo what was done way back in the garden, of Eden, of which was the new birth into death, from life. And to get back from Satan, all power, and authority, and dominion that Adam gave to him.

Look at Verse 5,6; Satan TOOK Jesus, hmm, he must have had some authority, in order to just take the Son of God wherever he wanted? Not only did the devil take Jesus, but; he showed Jesus some thing. Satan showed Jesus all that Jesus had come into the world for. Jesus came to get mans rightful place back for him. What was mans rightful place? Look to Adam in the book of Genesis.

Satan told, not if you want, but, Told Jesus, I will Give all of this to you. V.6b, for it has been given to me, and I give it to whom I WILL Satan said it is up to me to give it away. But, the devil was arrogant enough to think that Jesus would fall for such a trick as this. I took from God once before, I will do it again. I will take and offer what this one (Jesus) wants. I will tell Him I will give all of this to you, all authority in this earth, all dominion in this earth, all rule in this earth, and all power in this earth, here, here it is, take it, your weak, so why resist it, come on just go with it Jesus, you know this is what you want, so take it. But before you do, I want you to bow down before me, and tell me what I want to hear. See Jesus was extremely weak in His flesh, He had not eaten anything in forty days. Satan waited for forty days before he attacked Jesus. Satan waited until Jesus was at His weakest moment, Try to imagine this, if you have to, fast before the Father, asking Him to show you the magnitude of what happened in this mountain with Jesus. Believe me you will find it difficult to put into words what the Father will show you.

It is astonishing, the torment Jesus went through, and this is at the beginning of His ministry.

Then Satan puts this in Jesus’ face, for it has been turned over to me.” He just had to rub this in Jesus’ face, the very thing He was here for, the devil through it right in his face. The very thing that got man and God split apart, Adam’s High Treason, against God. Adam Gave all of this to Satan, and now the devil is trying to smear it in the Son of God’s face, the devil was flaunting it, and parading it before Jesus’ face. We can’t hardly imagine the temptation this was to Jesus, we always think, well you know Jesus was the Son of God, ya, and He was also a mortal man, just like you and I are. Like the Word says, He was tempted in like manner as we are, and in the same ways as we are, the only difference is, Jesus HAD TO resist these temptations, He had to. He was found with out blame in His walk on this earth! Jesus’ mission was not only fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament, but to usher in the New Covenant; again, most importantly, to pay the ultimate prices; the prices for Adam’s treason. The stage is set, the Lamb of God, is being prepared for the Last sacrifice, the only one that will truly redeem man back to God.

You see Jesus did not go out to the desert just to be tempted be the devil, He had gone to the desert to receive from the Father all that was expected of Him on this earth. But the devil had his eye on this Jesus, because God was doing unusual things with this one. And of course there was John the Baptist, Satan was not sure which one it was. When the devil had left Jesus, the angels came and ministered to Jesus, strengthening Him.

Remember, John the Baptist was not your usual person out preaching God’s Word, so Satan had this one killed, by having him beheaded. Now John did not only baptize this other one, but also God’s Holy Spirit had descended upon Him. Not only was this out of the norm, but the Holy Spirit was driving this Jesus out into a desert place. Satan thought, this has to be the one, so the devil sets back and waits, and watches this Jesus.  Just as starvation was starting to take effect, Satan then began his attacks on Jesus. Notice the devil waited till He was at his weakest, physically. Jesus had only one thing on His mind, His commission, His appointment, His orders from the Highest Authority, Set The World Free!

Jesus was here for more than just the things that Adam had given up, He was here to pay the price for every thing from Heaven to hell. His Blood for the claims in Heaven, the mercy Seat, the Heavenly Utensils, to satisfy the claims of Justice; His deaths for both physical, and most of all spiritual, for man, that God so loved, that he sent His Word to redeem us in, through and by the Blood of God’s sacrificial Lamb, Jesus the Christ.

You see Jesus had to die spiritually, and Go To Hell, just to enable God to provide the rebirth of man. Jesus died physically for our physical bodies, for our health, and peace of mind. Jesus also died spiritually because this is where man was in bondage to Satan, thus Jesus had to die spiritually. It was mans spirit that had to be born again. Jesus said; except a man be born again, he can not enter the Kingdom of God.

And many thought Jesus was saying, you must be born again from your mothers womb. They had trouble with this, Jesus said, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter the kingdom of God.

You see Jesus had to pay for everything, including total and complete separation from God the Father and His presence. Thus God had to turn His face away from Jesus, that is, God hid His face. God forsook Jesus, as he hung on the cross. This is why Jesus said; My God, My God, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me!! God made to come on Jesus, Everything that would ever possibly, come on mankind.

Man did not kill our Lord Jesus, God did, this was Jesus’ mission from the very beginning. Does this show you just how much God loves you and loves Me, that God would Kill His only Son. (Remember Abraham) As it is written, For God so loved the world, that He Gave all that He could offer, His only Son, that whosoever would believe on Him, would not perish, but Have freely given to them, everlasting life.

God prepared a body for His Word, and the Word took this mortal flesh willingly, and eagerly, and came into this gross, and pathetic, diseased, sin filled world, to redeem it, buy it back, purchase it, all for man, who Is and Was made in the image and likeness of God Himself. This He did as the Final sacrifice of the Old covenant, the last blood sacrifice to usher in the New covenant, in whom we Have our redemption through and by His blood.

Look at John 1: 1, 2,12-14 In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power (or, the right, or, privilege) to become the Son’s of God, even to them that believe on His mane. And the Word was Made Flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grave and truth.”

This is Very controversial in the body of Christ, We are son’s and daughter’s, and individually, A son, and A daughter of God. I am a son of God, and so are you! Or you are a daughter of God! Again where does this place us? What is our authority? I hope all of this shows you, that we are not trying to get God to do things for us, because we are so unworthy, or anything like this junk! WE Have as Much Right to Tell the devil what to Do as Jesus Himself does! We Are One With Jesus! Why have we missed this, we are so far from what the apostles where doing, it is pathetic by comparison. This is do to the Word of God being made so complex and hard to follow, and or, out right white washing the very milk of the Word. Not only are we doing these things, we are allowing homosexuals and those who consent to what they are doing, into the ministry, and preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus the Christ. I am not saying, that if they let God remove that homosexual spirit from them, and are delivered from this demonic state, and are taught how to minister this to His or Her acquaintances, who still do the same things as he or she used to, then it would be all right for them to come into the ministry, and preach the Gospel. The ones who allow this to take place Will Be Judged of God! God has said in Romans, (read it some time),1: 26, 27, 32 (Amp.)

For this reason God gave them over and abandoned  them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one; and the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burned out, consumed) with lust for one another, men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong doing and going astray, which was their fitting retribution. Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.”

I am not saying, do not minister to them, most assuredly do so, but Do Not befriend them, if you do not know how to deal in spiritual warfare, for in so doing you can and most likely will be effected by the demonic activity in this persons life.

Why did I get off on that?

I am going to change things here just a little bit.

As you begin to read and study the Word, beware, the devil will come to you and say things like, you don’t know what your doing, or, you know, you really should let the Pastor teach you these things, you might get off track, and, what makes you think you can do this, your not even an ordained minister. Let me tell you something, one, you do not have to be ordained to be called of God, or even ordained by man. Two, the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, in other words, you can not repent for not answering your calling, you cannot say to God at judgment day, I did not know I was called, or I didn’t think it was real, I thought it was of my self. Look at Rom. 11: 29 for the gifts and callings of God are without repentance.”

So you see there is no excuse for not answering the calling that God has placed upon your life. If you are not sure of your calling, then take it before the Lord and ask Him to reveal it to you, and then ask Him to confirm it to you through people that do not know you.

Read 1 John 2: 20, 27 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth In You, and ye need not that any man Teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him”

Look at John 14: 26 “But the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and Bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

I do not say that it is not good to attend a good Church, I am saying though, (Believe me when I say this) do not depend on the Pastor to do your work for you. the Father deeply desires to teach His children of Himself, In the Holy Spirit. So lets go to our Father and ask Him to teach us, He will Do it. Remember He Watches over His Word to perform it. It is in His Word, so why would He not do this?
