| There is a passage between Orient Point and Plum Island in Long Island Sound, NY called Plum Gut where the tide and a large change in water depth routinely toss up large waves for about a quarter mile. It is usually the roughest water of our trips to Long Island. (The Sea Tow call was not for us!)(1,765 KB) | |
