Basic tips for aquarium photography

 

Set the camera in manual focus mode, focus on a rock at the desired distance, move the camera back and forth to fine tune the focus.

Set the white balance to give the best color rendition.

Use an external flash or extra lights to allow the use of faster shutter speeds.

A small aperture will give maximum depth of field to increase the chance of the entire subject being in focus.
