Frequently Asked
Questions
Q: How long does it take to build a typical
2500SF home?
It generally takes about 5-6 months. Other factors that affect
elapsed time are unusual weather, availability of finish selections, and the contract signing date vs. the actual
date of breaking ground.
Q: Isn't Custom Building a home more expensive that buying a "Spec
House" from a production builder?
Custom building a house on your lot for the same price or less than other builders is routine
business for us. And we offer two things others usually don't. We will design your home for
far below market prices starting at just $600.00. We also offer better choices without high prices.
Q: I will be moving to your area in the near future.
Is it feasible to build before we move?
Sure, we have done this before. You will need to come to Atlanta one
time to purchase the lot, sign the contract, discuss site issues, and make certain finish selections. After that, we
will be in constant communication keeping you up to date online with weekly reports, pictures and videos.
Q: What is a "Bonus" Room?
A Bonus Room is an optional room you may add to the floor plan. They are usually located
over a garage or in accessible attic areas and are commonly used for Media, Home Office, Work Out, Cedar Closet, Storage,
Play Room, etc. Better Prices

your lifestyle is what custom home building

Q: Are Garages, Basements, Porches, and Decks included in Square
Footage?
No. Our Square Footage number represents heated/cooled living areas only. However,
our Total Build Square Footage represents everything.
Q: What is the advantage of "Hardiplank" siding versus real wood?
Hardiplank is a cemetitous siding that offers the warm look of real wood but outperforms
it in many ways by resisting damage due to weather conditions like humidity, rain, heat and cold. It also saves on maintenance
costs because repainting is not needed as often.
Q: What wiring is provided for phone and cable?
A: Our standard package includes RG-6 wiring rated for Satellite and Cable and Category
5 wiring for up to three separate phone lines. This easily satisfies standard family and home office needs.
