First cut off three wires, each 10 inches
in length, for the cab that you are doing, and straighten those wires out.
Take the three wires and hold them together to make a bundle. (see Fig 1) Sub note – for a larger cab use more wire,
and for a smaller cab use less.. |
|
What you will need - Wire - 22 Gauge - Half Hard - Square 24 Gauge - Half Hard - Half Round Pliers - Flat Nose Round Nose Chain Nose Craft knife Flush wire cutters Cabochon of your choice Parallel Jaw wood clamp |

|
Then clamp your wires in the wood clamp and
tighten (see Fig 2) (the wood clamp will not mar your wires) Then take about
10 inches of the half round wire, put just a 1/8th of an inch in your flat
nose pliers and make a hook in the wire (see Fig 3) Making sure that the flat side is up
against the pliers. |

|
Take the hook and crimp it onto your bundle
in the clamp, and start winding it around your bundle. (see Fig 4) After you have wrapped as much as you need
you then need to cut off the wire. Hold your flat nose pliers in the middle
of the wrap, pull the wire back towards you at a 90 degree angle, flush cut
and then crimp. Wrap the 24 gauge half round wire around
the square wire bundle for about an inch and a half, Then go out an inch and
a half from the middle wrap on both sides, and make a wrap around three times
as shown in Fig 5. |

|
Now we are ready to wrap the bundle of wire
around a form to conform to the shape of the cab, the resulting bundle of
wire is now called a Bezel. Click here to continue |
