The entrance to the University of  Nashville on Second Ave. South -This may have been a gate house located at the entrance of the University around 1900-1910. This structure may have housed the gate keeper and  grounds custodian.   There is some evidence that this may have been the "chapel" where the church services were held. The stately home of the University president was located at the Lindsley Ave. entrance.  This gate  eventually became the entrance to the Howard School Campus.
