A view across Lindsley Ave. at the corner of Lindsley and First. Ladies were strolling the walkways on the old University of Nashville Campus during the late 1800's-early 1900's. Notice that the home at number 11 Lindsley Ave. had a wrought iron fence at that time. The University's chancellor's home is shown to the right on the campus. This photo was taken from the upstairs bay window of 11 Lindsley. Both Mongomery Bell Academy, the gymansium, and the Original Peabody Normal School buildings can be seen in the background at the top of the Photograph.
