Setting Sun

Jim Savarino © 2001

Well, I put my foot
On the dusty trail
Bright lights, don't thrill me
Fancy foods don't fill me
My friend's the coyote and the quail

And city life
Is fine for some
High-rise and the freeway
Nine to five 'a work day
On my appaloosa I will run
Ride right through to the setting sun

Chorus:
Let the setting sun
Kiss the waxing moon
While crickets sing a traveling tune
Days roll on
Nights go by
I spread my bedroll
Pull down some diamonds from the sky!

And I see my life
Has numbered days
But I won't be hidin'
I'll Just keep on ridin'
Into the twilight's fading rays
Let the world forget my cowboy ways

Chorus

	Spread my bedroll
Dream the cowboy's life... will never die!
