At 13:50 Hrs on June 16th, Station 9 was dispatched on Box 904 at 45 Little Sugar Run Rd for a Silo Fire.  Upon arrival, Chief 9 (Bittner) took Little Sugar Run command and advised of a 70' tall concrete silo with smoke showing.  Command contacted County and requested any resources they might have regarding this type of special incident, as well as an additional engine from Centre County Co. 14 for a fill site, an additional tanker from Station 4, and the truck from Station 2.  County then advised command they had a contact number for a special silo fire team from Huntington County Station 22 (Warriors Mark - Franklin).  Chief 9 then contacted this individual who advised on the appropriate tactics with which to mitigate the incident.  Units went available at 20:39 hrs and were due to return on a service call to assess the situation the following day.
