This would be me. Cover your eyes quick!

"Am I to be the hero of my own life,
or is someone else to have that position?"
-- Charles Dickins, David Copperfield

Hey all, my name is Mike Brown, also known as JiNxX. Call me Mike or JiNxX. This picture of me was taken on October 8, 2004. I was born on September 5, 1980 in San Diego, CA. Unfortunately I no longer live out there... my family moved shortly after then to New Jersey and we now live in Toms River.

I'm 24 years old. I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University, and yet I work an overnight job stocking shelves at Target. Life is a cruel-hearted whore.

I would describe my personality as funny and slightly psychotic. I used to attribute that to consumption of mass amounts of soda, but I don't really drink so much soda anymore and I haven't changed much. I've found that I can make people laugh. Sometimes with clever anecdotes, sometimes with random inappropriate anger, sometimes with just being outgoing. I also try hard to be a nice guy. I'll drop anything for a true friend, and the only reason I'd ever get in someone's face is if they did something to hurt someone I care about.

I've always done my best creative work when under the influence of sleep deprivation, and thanks to many long sleepless nights, my "massive page of fun" (as Tim calls it) has expanded to 10 different pages. For a while I spent a lot of time on my website, whether it was adding new funny quotes, writing about some pain-in-the-ass ME course, or thinking about new ideas for material... now I find myself updating once in a blue moon (but making huge updates when I do). I don't have a whole lot to talk about these days, now that I'm living at home on a semi-permanent basis.

Some fun stuff...

On this page you can find details of the 21 (plus) drinks I consumed during the 24 hour period of my 21st birthday, which for all you weirdos who DIDN'T KNOW was September 5, 2001.

The television debut of JiNxX occurred on Monday, November 5, 2001 at 10 PM, on MTV's Family Values Tour 2001 special, when I was included in footage taken backstage with Linkin Park at the Family Values Tour in East Rutherford, NJ. More recently, some more of that footage was used for MTV's Ultrasound: Who Is? Grammy special on Linkin Park. I don't know of the time that it first aired but I saw it for the first time on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at 6:30 PM. (The Linkin Park clip starts 10 minutes in, if you wanna catch it.)

And, continuing on my path to becoming the next King Of All Media, check out my picture and TWO quotes in the Sunday, January 13, 2002 edition of the New York Times. Registration at the site is free.

By far, the coolest Flash game I have ever seen is a remake of the popular arcade game "Dance Dance Revolution" for us computer freaks... check it out here.

Links

Blizzard Entertainment
Makers of Diablo and Starcraft... and finally, Diablo II and its expansion pack which, surprisingly enough, didn't cause me to flunk out of Rutgers.
Bored.com
"When you have nothing better to do." Hyped as "links to the most interesting sites on the internet". While there is no link to this site there (potentially falsifying their claim), they did provide me hours of fun and a few of the links you see here.
Drunknmunky
Sweet clothes for people who celebrate individuality. What's your style?
Free Arcade
A whole BUTTLOAD of free online games that play right in your web browser.
Google
Currently the only search engine that will find my website. And I didn't even ask for a submission. Of course, Yahoo! Search is now Google's bitch.
id Software
Makers of the Commander Keen series, Wolfenstein 3-D, the DOOM series, the Heretic/Hexen series, and the Quake series. In other words, the gods of computer gaming.
Infantry Online
A KICK-ASS massively-multiplayer online game on the Sony Station (NOT PlayStation). Run around, shooting other players... sort of like Quake, except 3rd person. Best of all, it's totally FREE to play.
InkLink
Pictionary-style game where you and your friends take turns drawing clues and guessing words and phrases. Just one of the many awesome games at shockwave.com.
The Internet Movie Database (IMDb)
Information on just about any actor, actress, TV show, and (of course) movie you can possibly think of. Wow your friends with a quick and accurate answer to questions such as "What was Nicolas Cage's first movie?" (That would be "Fast Times At Ridgemont High".)
JoeCartoon.com
Really, really sick Flash animations and games by Joe Cartoon. You may have already seen some of his work.

moviefone.com
The place to go to get movie theater listings. Sure, it's owned by AOL... but then again, what isn't nowadays?
OverClocked Remix
A website dedicated to the keeping alive of classic video game soundtracks through reinterpretation. Or, simply put, a bunch of crazy bastards who remake video game music. Awesome site.
phonespell.org
Do you ever wonder what your phone number spells? Do other people know? Do they ever call you at 2 in the morning to tell you?
WRAT 95.9 The Rat Rocks
The Rat, out of Point Pleasant, NJ.
Real Ultimate Power!!
"Ninjas can kill anyone they want! Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time. I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town." I love this site.
Renee Francis
Astrologer Renee Francis lives and offers her services in the southern Colorado area and assists in the solving of missing children cases. While I'm quite skeptical about the topic of astrology, some of the stuff on her page has made me stop and think about it. She's also my cousin, so I'm giving her a free plug. =)

My college!
