A few comments from some people who have purchased my books.
I have received your wonderful book and just had to write to you to say how pleased I am with it as it contains just the information I was looking for and had never been able to obtain in the UK.
I know a reasonable amount about macros and probably more than a lot of Wordprocessor operators would, but being so very interested in computers and the software (especially WordPerfect which I have used for years starting with 5.1 for Dos and I think is quite the best Wordprocessor on the market) I really have wanted to go into macro writing properly. As you obviously know by how you have constructed your book, you need to know why you are doing something and what the terms mean in order to progress. I purchased the macro book from Corel and it is like a foreign language and not much use to me because of the lack of explanation of any of the terms. So thank you once again, I am SO PLEASED with your book.
Just as a last note, you obviously love animals, I too have cats who rule the house, one of mine I found asleep on my keyboard, most uncomfortable I would have thought !!!! I also have a friend who has 43 cats at the last count. Good job she doesn't have a computer!!--MU
I'd like to emphasize again that there is no question that this <WordPerfect Advanced Merge Handbook > is a terrific book. I know of no other book about this subject, and it is an obvious must-have book for anyone who wants to learn about the merge language and for those who already write merges and would like a reference or clarification about some of the less common commands. The examples and exercises, and certainly the Applications section, can provide merge writers with methods they may never have thought of. And, of course, the reference material in the Appendices are worth the price of the book alone.

Just wanted to tell you how much your book has helped me. I had taken a new job, and my first assignment pointed out the company's dire need for someone with a programming background. Unfortunately, that hadn't been in the list of job requirements, and my programming abilities were virtually nonexistent. A week into "Teach Yourself C in 21 Days", I realized that I wasn't going to be able to absorb the information in time, and started to get a little nervous.
Through sheer desperation, I checked out some WordPerfect info, and discovered the programming capabilities there. I would still have been struggling through the basics, however, if it wasn't for your book. Every question I have had on programming in WordPerfect has been answered in your book. Some of the code I could even use almost directly from your examples. Thanks to you, my project (building an interface between some mainframe information and a PC application) is actually done ahead of time. Thanks again. You do excellent work.

I cannot tell you how much of a help your book has been. As someone who programmed a great deal in 5.1 I was having great difficulty in moving over to the new language. However, with the help of your book, I'm back on my feet again.
