The sun was much cooler at 9:30 than after 10AM today! I was lucky with this sunspot image in that I managed to capture during a brief second of "good" seeing; the other four images of the spot (made during the same session) showed tremendous turbulence. Ed Abel	Same AR 24 hours later.	An impressive split double solar filament.

Of the 113 images taken, I used 23 to make the composite. What was also a challenge was the change in sky brightness between 7:25 and 7:40. This required a change in the brightness level of the individual images used in the composite in order to achieve a consistent light level. I can appreciate why the Phillips at prime focus on the C-8 can be used only on a crescent moon requiring far fewer individual images!
