For generations, a secret society practicing the way of the Chi have existed beyond human eyes. Combining martial arts and inner strength, these masters of Chi are the ultimate weapons. But times are changing . . . with technology and evolution of the human mind, society has no use for magical powers or martial arts and Chi practitioners have to find ways to survive somehow (by finding jobs as teachers or even 1-900 call services). There are seven masters of the Chi society, but only five masters are still alive. As old age and their ways are passing, they have no choice but to find a disciple worthy of their teachings. But after years of searching, they finally stumble on a rookie cop named Sang Hwan (Ryu Seung Beom).
Possessing an incredible amount of Chi within him, the masters believe Sang Hwan is "the one" to restore balance to the way of Chi and maintain peace. They quickly recruit him to be their disciple and each of the masters go to work to train Sang Hwan in each of their areas of expertise. Meanwhile, Heug Un (Jeong Du Hong), a powerful and former Chi Master, has been accidentally awakened and freed after years of imprisonment. He aims to find the keys to unlock "Arahan," the ultimate power in the Universe, to rule mankind. Will Sang Hwan complete his training in time to defeat Heug Un and save the world? |
