October 1998 -- My Mom's friends and relatives gave me and my Mom a "Welcome Home Shower" Then I had my first Halloween |

November 1998 -- I had my Jewish Baby Naming at Temple Israel. My Hebrew name is Chava Ariela. Chava is Hebrew for Eva, which was my Great-Grandma's name. | ||||

| January 1999 -- I had my Jewish Conversion Ceremony. I had to be naked when I was dunked in the pool of blessed water. I screamed in my Daddy's ear the whole time. (He got to wear a bathing suit.) |

| February 1999 -- I went to U.S. Immigration in Port Huron. I am now an official U.S. Citizen. |

Then I met up withsome old friends from Novoshakhtinsk in Chicago. | ||

March 1999 -- I went to a Frank Adoption Agency Reunion in Raleigh, NC. It was also my Mommy's 40th birthday when we were there. |

April 1999 -- I went to a Russian Art exhibit at the Kalamazoo Art Institute, with many other kids adopted from Russia and their parents. Then we went to Kellogg's Cereal City USA®. It was really cool! |

May 1999 --
I went to Disney World in Orlando. It was my first time on a plane since I came home from Russia. I hugged all the Disney characters and had a great time! | ||||

July 1999 -- I went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and then to Wisconsin to visit my friends from Novoshakhtinsk. Me and Daddy climbed Jacob's Creek Falls near the Jam Pot... I hunted for treasure on the shore of Lake Superior... Now I'm ready for lunch at Antler's in SSM. |

August 1999 -- My First Baseball Game -- One of the last at Tiger Stadium August 27, 1999. My ancestors have watched many games in this Stadium. All the way back to the early 1900's when my great- great-grandfather watched games at Navin Field and Bennet Park. |
