- The Urban Club list can be done in light polluted skies
- The list consists of 39 Messiers, 34 NGC objects,13 stars,and 14 "other"- total of 100 objects
- Included are 53 Open Clusters, 11 galaxies,2 bright nebula, 9 planetary nebula, 12 globular clusters, 12 double stars and 1 variable star
- Can use as a list for public star parties in urban light pollution conditions or when the Moon is out
- The list consists of both spectacular astronomical eye candy and relatively obscure objects-mostly open clusters
- Harder to do than Messier list in dark skies- because of few bright guidepost stars, challenges star hopping skills
- Larger aperture is better
- The views are not as wonderful as dark skies- but much better than sitting in front of the TV!
- Can be done when time is short -"backyard astronomy"
