February 2008

Since November 2007, "beta" operating sessions have helped identify changes to the track plan, operating scheme, and functional requirements. The last "beta" session occurred on February 16th, 2008.   Future sessions will resume in the Spring of 2008.  Special thanks to the many operators who have made numerous suggestions for improvements throughout the layout.

Mike is the Fall River Yard Master.  He's looking a little stressed.....

Whit is classifying a cut of cars in the Fall River Yard.

Whit must be having a great time!

"Maxx" must think that manifest is funny?  "Maxx" is operating the Kimber Switch Crew position.

Paul and Jim were partners on the Kimber Turn, a local job that runs from Fall River Yard to Kimber switching the industries in between.

Rod was the Traffic Manager.  He's running RailOp in real time to manage traffic on the layout.

John was the Assistant Traffic Manager, assembling trains for awaiting crews. He must be having fun.....

Mike is running the C-BLKPSC coal train.  This train runs empty from the public service power plant to the Black Diamond Mine. It loads at the mine and returns loaded to PSC. This run takes the entire session....

Don and Tom meet in Horton to switch industries.  Don was running the Iowa Interstate job, and Tom the Deckers Turn (BNSF local).
