New Flesh is:
Jason Donnels
Dan Propert
Rick Weaver
Obviously musical hardcore for those at the end of their rope.
Evoking equal parts disgust and curiosity, the music of The New Flesh
reflects the restlessness and frustration of its members:
Jason Donnells, Dan Propert, and Rick Weaver (Human Host, ex Flowers in The Attic).
Their progressive punk sound evolves out of the texture of 60s psychedelia,
the discordance of 70s art punk, the energy of 80s west coast hardcore,
and the drive of 90s noise rock. Jasons pounding bass and Ricks cyclonic drums
provide a framework for Dans somnambulistic guitar work. Always bringing a high
energy, devastating live show, The New Flesh are a force to be reckoned with.
The New Flesh formed in the fall of 2002. Since then, they have embarked
on over half a dozen tours and shared the stage with national acts such as
Air Conditioning, Cheater Slicks, Heroine Sheiks, Prurient, Pearls & Brass, Wolf Eyes, VAZ, Nautical Almanac, Dead Meadow, Friends Forever, & Temple of Bon Matin.
They have recorded a steady stream of material which can be found on numerous independent labels
including Human Conduct (co-operated by Rick Weaver), Cephias Treat (FL), MT6, Hit-Dat & Terra Firma (Baltimore),
McCarthyism (D.C.), Imvated (Belgium), and Real Cide Youth (OH). In 2004, The New Flesh was recognized as
the Best Band in Baltimore's Citypaper. Spring 2007 will see the release of their second full length CD, Vessel,
released by Heart Break Beat. The band has just finished recording a 7" single (which is being released on Terra Firma)
for their third album.

"Dog" 7"
2 Songs
Release Date: Summer 2007
Recorded/Engineered by Nick Skrobisz, February 2007
in Rick's house in Remington, Baltimore
Artwork By TBA
$4.00ppd
The New Flesh's most apathetic sounding release to date. Melodic yet completely unconcerned
guitar floats around while Jason's Bass strings blow off his bass and come crashing back like a
pile of junk falling down some stairs. Chock full of reverberated vocals and apathetic hooks;
"Dog" reveals a slightly more trippy side of the New Flesh. Side B drags through "Memory Scrap"
which is a fucking head banging one-riffer. Think early Swans played at 45. It's too bad 7"s only
go so long because I could listen to this song forever. Halfway in, Dan's vocals charge out,
hollering like a Hampdonite with a mouth full of loose teeth and blood; screaming down the
Avenue at his fellow lowbrow friend that just knocked his teeth out over ten dollars worth of crack.
Punk made to the beat of Baltimore. Limited to 600 copies, 200 of which are on ultra-limited black/red mixed vinyl.
