 About Us
The Capon Springs Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company would like to welcome you to the site...


The Fire Company was Established in 1966 to provide fire protection to the town of Capon Springs
and its surrounding areas.
The Ambulance Company was established in 1996 with 3 EMT's
and 1 Ambulance.
A second Ambulance was added to the Company a few years later.

The Capon Springs Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company :
Provides Mutual Aid to the following :

Station 2
Capon Valley Volunteer Fire Company
Hardy County, West Virginia.

Station 3
Augusta Volunteer Fire Company
Hampshire County, West Virginia.

Station 14
Gore Volunteer Fire & Rescue
Frederick County, Virginia.

Today the Company operates 10 pieces of Apparatus :
1 Engines, 1 Rescue Engine, 2 Tankers, 1 Brush unit, 1 Mobile unit, 2 Ambulances and 1 Reserve Engine.
Out of 1 Station :

The Capon Springs Volunteer Fire Station is equipped with a 50KW Generator.
The Generator can power the entire station and has enough fuel to last 3-5 days.
The station can also be used as an emergency shelter during any type of
Disaster or Evacuation, with several beds for personnel and citizens,
As well as having a Non Handicapped Shower and a Handicapped Restroom,
It also has the capabilities to provide water from the local spring at the
Capon Springs Hotel if needed even if the electric would be off.
