Bodand is a Staghorn Hermit crab

Marine invertebrates often form associations with each other that are often mutually beneficial. The Staghorn hermit crab, Manucomplanus varians, uses for its home a "shell" consisting of the Staghorn hydrocoral, Janaria mirabilis, which protects the crab from predators with its stinging tentacles and in turn feeds on the debris of food particles formed when the hermit crab tears apart its prey.

Bodand is also the name of my Friends Cleric character in Everquest seeing Bodand never goes far with out his Enchanter I wanted a symbolic critter to be his name sake so with out further a due here is Bodand the Staghorn Hermit Crab.

Yes there is a Crab living in that Coral.
