HOW IT ALL STARTED
In the early 1970's, my father's brother, Uncle Bill Emerson, peeked my interest in genealogy with his abundant
knowledge of our family history. He knew EMERSON family
details and had information about our ancestors that no one else had
ever mentioned before! Imagine that!!! Being a curious teenager,
I was very impressed and could not get enough of this genealogy stuff.
Over the years, I
endlessly interviewed my parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in a
tireless pursuit of the Family History Project. This pursuit is
no longer just a project for a website, as much as it is a life long
commitment.
In recent years, I
have begun research on my mother's family, the STEIN's,
THEN's, and JAUCH's.
Although I have found little confirmed information on this, my Buffalo
NY German side of the family, I have made great progress with the
help of my parents, aunts, and uncles, as well as other JAUCH
researchers.
I have also begun
more intensive research into the SMITH’s
of
Over the years of
research, I have accumulated a wealth of information on THE EMERSON
FAMILY, beginning with ROBERT EMERSON, our immigrant
ancestor, through his descendants from the 1650's to the present.
