Dever BookTHE DEVER AND RELATED FAMILIES

The Dever and Related Families book is about several DEVER-DEAVER FAMILIES in the USA, starting during the 1600rds in Maryland, and continuing with their descendants, many until the present time, and their travels to various areas.  We begin these families with 22 pages documenting the life of Richard and Grace (FitzMorris) Deaver; proven by parish records, land records, History and Genealogy Books, and other sources.  His children and descendants are carried forward, many to the present time.  The families are arranged in generational lines with a numbering system that makes it easy to trace backward and forward to connect ancestors and descendants.

We have included in the book a Special Section on the deVERE FAMILIES who were in England during the years 1040-1600rds.  They were, undoubtedly, the most powerful family in the County of Essex, England at that time.  The families are arranged in generational lines with a numbering style that makes it easy to trace backward and forward to connect ancestors and descendants.  The deVERE  families held the high office of Earls of Oxford and other titles for many generations.  They held elaborate parties and feasts in their Castle Hedingham for the finest and best of Royalty.  We tell you the origin of the surname deVere, their related families and many other things.  For these families, we copied from several authentic and authoritative genealogy books written by early, renowned authors; books now out of print and hard to find.

Their lives and stories are told with text, pictures, maps and illustrations.  The book begins with 55 pages giving some history of the areas where the families lived.  Our book has 6 pages listing the sources we used in compiling the information.  We tell you about the meaning and origin of the surname DEVER and the surname VERE and many other interesting things.  The book has Special Sections devoted to some of their Related Families.  This is an excellent book.

We conducted most of our research at The Hall of Records in Annapolis, MD. (the main depository for early Maryland records), and in court houses and other records and depositories in Maryland and various other counties and states.  In Wash. D.C. we searched at The Library of Congress, DAR, and National Archives.   And in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We conducted our research in authoritative and authentic genealogy sources and depositories.  It was not taken from telephone books and it was not taken from the Internet.
