Colonial Period
Clingan, George - Serverd in 1756, Lt., Colonial Militia, Associated Companies, Lancaster Co., PA.  His brother, William, was a member of the Continental Congress and a signer of the Articles of Confederation. 5th great-grandfather.

Revolutionary War
Bolling, Jesse - Volunteered in 1780. Served 6 months. Was a Light Horse Cavalryman. Pension application Oct 22, 1832. 5th great-grandfather.
Cloyd, William - Served as a private in the Pennsylvania Line during the Revolutionary War and was Pensioned in 1833. He also served as a private in the Virginia Army in the company of Captain Benjamin Biggs at Fort Pitt and was at the battle of Brandywine. 4th great-grandfather.
Menefee, Garrard - Pvt. in Colonel Benjamin Logan's Company in frontier service against the British north of the Ohio River during the years 1780- 1782. 4th great-grandfather.
Reynolds, Richard Spencer - He served with Henderson's Company of the Virginia State Line. 6th great-grandfather.

War of 1812
Reynolds, Pleasant - Served in Captain Silvanus Massie's Company of Lt. Col. Wm. Jenning's 2nd KY Militia.  His term of service was from Sept. 1, 1812 to Mar. 26, 1813.  Pleasant's widow, Rebecca Reynolds, was awarded 80 acres March 28, 1856 for his war service. In 1871 she received pension no. 3278. 4th great-grandfather.
Bible, Lewis - Served in the war of 1812 as a drummer boy in Captain Joseph Hale's Company, 4th Regiment of East TN draft militia. Enlisted 8 Nov 1814 discharged May 18 1815. 3th great-grandfather.

Civil War
Warren, Calvin - Pvt. Co B, 7th KY Cavalry, 13th Army Corps, Union Army. Enlisted 16 Aug, 1862 at Parris, KY.  Discharged on 10 July, 1865.  Pension application 2 Sep, 1899. Great-grandfather.
Moore, John C. - Pvt. Co K, 7th KY Inf, 13th Army Corps, Union Army. Enlisted at Camp Dick Robinson Garrard Co, KY Sep. 21, 1861. Transfered to Invalid Corps in Aug., 1862. War Dept. Pension List 1 Jan, 1883. Great-grandfather.
Moore, James Bolivar - Sgt Co K, 7th KY Inf, 13th Army Corps, Union Army. . Enlisted at Camp Dick Robinson Garrard Co, KY Sep. 21, 1861. Promoted to Sgt. Mar., 2, 1863. Discharged Louisville, KY on Oct 5, 1864. Great-granduncle.

Jones, Solomon - Pvt Co K, 7th KY Inf, 13th Army Corps, Union Army. Enlisted at Camp Dick Robinson Garrard Co, KY Sep. 21, 1861. Married to great-grandaunt.
Hardigree, David - Pvt.Co A, 12th Georgia Battalion (Newnan Artillery). Confederate Army.  Reported missing 16 Oct 1862 Big Hill, KY. After the battle of Big Hill he thought he saw brother Edwin in a wagon of dead and never saw him again.  Listed as deserter after he joined as Pvt. Co K, 13th Regt, TN Vol. Cavalry, Union Army.  Ashamed of having fought against Confederates, he never returned to his home state. Great-grandfather.
Hardigree, Edwin James - Pvt.Co A, 12th Georgia Battalion (Newnan Artillery). Confederate Army.  Spent much of the war in hospital.  Great-granduncle.
Hardigree, Hiram - Co A, 44th Georgia Artillery. Buried in Confederate Section of the Old City Cemetery, Lynchburg, VA.  Lynchburg was site of large Confederate hospital. Great-granduncle.
Huff, Edward - Pvt. in Company M, 14th KY Volunteer Cavalry, Union Army. Joined Dec 21, 1862 at Owsley Co, KY.  Mustered out Mar 24, 1864 at Camp Nelson, KY. 2nd Great-granduncle.
Huff, John C. - QM SGT.  in Company M, 14th KY Volunteer Cavalry, Union Army. Joined Dec 21, 1862 at Owsley Co, KY.  Mustered out Mar 24, 1864 at Camp Nelson, KY. 2nd Great-grandfather.
Huff, Pleasant - Pvt. in Cpt. McDaniel's Company, 8th KY Infantry. Joined Nov 13, 1861 at Manchester, KY. Re-enlisted Jan 4, 1864 Shell Mound, TN.  Mustered out on Feb 28, 1865 at Macon, Georgia. 2nd great-granduncle.
Huff, William - Pvt. in Company I, 8th KY Infantry. Joined Nov 13, 1861 at Manchester, KY. In January/February of 1863 he was taken prisoner in the Battle of Stones River . First man to the top of Lookout Mountain during Battle of Lookout Mountain on November 24, 1863.  Mustered out at Chattanooga, TN on Nov 17, 1864. 2nd great-granduncle.
Sizemore, Russell - Enlisted on Dec 15, 1862 as Pvt. in Co L, 14th Kentucky Cavalry. Died Irvine, KY on Mar 3, 1863. Father-in-law of great-grandmother.

Moore, John Warren - SSGT with HQ Co, 1st Bn, 11th Inf Regt, 5th Inf Div, 3rd Army. Participated in the Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland campaigns. Awards are Bronze Star, Purple Heart, EAME Theatre Ribbon w/3 campaign stars, the American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Expert Infanfantyman Badge, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. John Warren Moore is my father.

Huff, Orison - Platoon Sgt. 31st Infantry Regt. U.S. Army, Pacific Theater of Operations. One of the few men in his platoon to survive a 15 day operation in the Mindanao. Participated in 3 major campaigns. Granduncle.
