~ Artist Comments ~

Gallery III represents for me a distinct change in my photography.  For many years, my medium format black/white negatives, developer/fixer/toner, my dinosaur Omega D2 enlarger, and a variety of photographic papers provided maximum satisfaction and enjoyment.  Additionally, selective hand-coloring a number of these black/white prints allows an element of creativity.  And, when out looking for photographic possibilities, there has always been the opportunity to also load and use slide film which I've done through those years.

Finally submitting to the digital era, I've been using digital cameras for some time now, and have also added a  scanner that lets me scan from my collection of  slides/negatives.  Printing digitally has improved so dramatically that a high quality photo digital printer can produce archival prints with an expected life span approaching 100 years.  This piece of equipment is now regularly used after images have been edited and prepared with software such as Adobe Photoshop, PhotoBrush, Paint Shop Pro, and other similar programs. The images in Gallery III are a mix of digital and scanned negatives and  slides (some 25-30 years old).

On the Gallery III Home Page I've listed a link to three of my other  web sites.
