A LiL' TriviaDo you know or have you ever wondered why fire departments have spiral stairs? Many years ago, fire trucks were horse drawn, and when the firefighters would go up to their bunks at night to sleep, the horses would follow, and when an alarm came in, they couldn't get the horses back down the steps to respond fast enough. So they put in the spiral staircases to prevent the horses from going up them. |
