Maya's Adoption Story is missing...

but you might be able to help.

My sincere apologies. Due to a unexpected combination of a hard drive crash, and Comcast accidentally losing my site, the wonderful story of Maya's adoption has gone missing. For those of you visiting the site for the first time, we are truely sorry you could not see our labor of love. Rest assured we are working to reconstruct the story, all 7 links.

For those who've visited this site before, we could use your extreme kindness in reconstructing the site. Anyone who viewed the site may have critical portions of it cached on there hard drive, or may have printed it. I know this is asking a lot, but if anyone did print off any portion of the site, it would be great if you could send me what you have. If you did not print it, you can still help. If you could do me the extreme favor of checking your PC cache to see if any of the verbiage from the site may have been captured, it would be deeply appreciated. I've already retrieved one of the pages this way (1 down, and six to go!). I had all the graphics backed up, so I only need the verbiage. Send anything to jnsfleming@comcast.net

Instructions on how to check your cache:

Internet Explorer provides a direct view into these files, and you can access as follows:

· While in Internet Explorer (IE), click on the ‘Tools’ button on the top bar of the screen, then click on ‘Internet Options…’

· A Window should pop up with the General tab of the Internet Options. In the middle of the screen is a section called ‘Temporary Internet Files’. Click on the ‘Settings’ button.

· Then click on the ‘View Files’ button in the new window.

This will take you to the folder holding your cache. The folder will probably be very large, so it might take some patience to find these particular files. Many of them start with the word ‘Maya’, and you can go to the list headings an click on ‘Name’ to sort by name. That might speed things up. If you find a file, see if you can view it. If you can’t (i.e. it sends you to my non-existent web site instead), then we are probably at a dead end. Sometimes cache files are only links, not actual graphics or text.

Thanks again. I deeply appreciate this effort.
