Rocky, I remember!

I was hanging out in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which has not only historic significance in terms of classical art, but in Movie history also. You see Rocky in the movie of the same name, ran those steps and the film went on to win a best Picture Oscar for 1976. I noticed over the years people are always running those steps. I have run them myself a number of times at night, wearing only my glasses. The day i took this photo [19 August 2002] there was a group working out on the steps and about the grounds with a drill instructor, a woman running the steps and those people you see. It was only 6:26 a.m. and already that busy. I took a chance and took a couple photos. As people with photo equipment are always shooting the museum, i guess i didn’t look odd to anyone. I set the self-timer and slipped over to my spot and got rid of my shorts and snap, a photo to remember. One night i talked three college aged guys into streaking the steps with me and one of their friends stayed behind and video taped us.

Take care & stay bare,

Joey Blue
