What a Bridge!

I took this in the early morning of September 8, 2002 at 8:30 a.m. It’s on the walkway across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge that connects Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Camden, New Jersey and spans across the Delaware River. It was built in 1926 and is just over 1 & ½ miles long. As early as it was, there were still plenty of joggers, walkers and bicyclist using it already. Actually you probably can’t tell, but there is a woman power walker in the background. She was moving so fast i couldn’t get the camera set in time to get a better view of her walking away from my location. The bridge is also patrolled by Port Authority Police on bicycles. I’m not sure if there are any cameras up there. But they have been very alert since the events of September 11, 2001. You sort of can see the city skyline in the background too. It was a beautiful morning. Later that afternoon i did the Fitness Dare, but that’s a whole other story. This one was easy compared to the Fitness Dare photo.

Take care & stay bare,
