A totally new exercise for me:

Well, i must say, i pondered the Fitness Dare. I don’t go to any gyms nor do i travel much. So a hotel workout room wasn’t an option. One night i was riding along the West River Drive along the Schuylkill River, here in Philadelphia, and i noticed these rings. I stopped and tried them. I must say, i don’t recall ever being on rings before in all my years in school, so it was a first time. I was surprised how easy it actually was to flip my feet up and over my head. I did feel that taking a photo there at night would be difficult to say the least because of the lack of light. I did try using them nude that night though and it was fun even without the camera.

Now to the actually shooting of the photo. I took this the same day i did the Bridge Dare photo. After the bridge photo was taken, i headed down to the West River Drive, which is closed to motorized traffic all day on Saturdays and Sundays. However, there are a few vehicles that do get in as you can see from the alternate shot. That vehicle was sitting in the driveway of an historic house and had lights on top, which indicated to me that it was some kind of security vehicle. It seemed to show up right after i had tried to do my first nude photo which came out awful [unusable]. There are hundreds of joggers, inline skaters, bicyclists and hikers of all ages that use the West River Drive on those days. This was an exceptionally nice day and i had to watch out from 4 directions. It took me 1 hour and 23 minutes to finally get this photo taken. I took 7 wearing shorts and 2 nudes. The problem, [out side of the traffic] was the 10 second timer. I had to set off the camera, get my shorts off, get to the rings, flip up, get some decent form and then flip back down and get my shorts back on without being seen. I was very careful because of the ‘family’ atmosphere that was down there. Once when i was doing a dressed test, a young woman and her boyfriend were riding by on their bikes. She slowed down and said "That was Great!" I was really practicing my form and i was quite flattered. As i said, i had never been on the rings before that one night and this particular day. The final photo far exceeded my original expectations. I was thrilled to have gotten an almost 90º angle between my body and my legs. I still don’t know if anyone was watching from the home across the street, or if anyone else might have seen me. Once i got the final shot, i packed up the camera, got on my bicycle and got out of there as quickly as possible.

Take care & stay bare,
