8-Jan-2004, Joey Blue, Police

Man, this took a long time.
I sure hate the cold weather. So this was taken on one of the last really warm days on 3 Nov. 2003 at 1:06 in the afternoon. Considering I spend so much time riding around the river and swimming in it when it is hot out, I thought the Police Marine Unit Sub-station was a great place to do my Police Station Dare. Unfortunately there is a parking lot on my left and on my right. It’s the place where folks come to park so they can unload their bicycles, skates and start their runs. There were two groups, with trailers getting their boats out of the river that could have clearly seen me; so I had to wait a long time for a few seconds to get this photo. Cars were driving right by me, between the two parking lots, as I was waiting. There were also some women having lunch at park benches within view of the corner of the building. They were not looking my way, so I took a chance. [see photo below]

At first I was sort of frustrated, but I persevered to get the photo. There is also a running / skating / biking path and a somewhat busy roadway just beyond that. I was in the bright sun and anyone going by would have clearly seen me. It’s all a matter of timing.

Take care & stay bare,
Joey Blue
