Most recognizable building in town

This is the same building as my other Postcard, but because of the Movie ‘ROCKY’, it has been seen by millions of people. I dare say it makes this landmark the most recognizable building in Philadelphia. ROCKY ran those steps in the film twice.

I took this at 2:53 in the afternoon and this area of the park is completely surrounded by a traffic circle with plenty if traffic. In the background you can see people looking at the monumental statue. I saw a woman taking fotos with very expensive cameras in the area. She turned out to be a staff photographer for one of the city’s newspapers. I thought I had avoided being seen by her, but I was wrong. She circled around the area and ended up taking fotos of me sitting on the grass in my hiking shorts. We got to talk and she admitted she saw me do the nude foto. I explained it was for a Naked Dare website. She said she thought I was a crazy person at first, but decided I wasn’t after watching me and talking to me. She took a series of fotos of me dressed for the paper, but I don’t know if any of them got published. I hoped that the shade and the trees helped to shield me from the eyes of the public. - It was taken on 18 May 2004.
