Park Tool Pre-Glued Super Patch GP-2 Review

Park Tool is a company that makes a lot of awesome bike products. I have always liked their stuff and own quite a bit. One of my favorite items they make is a bicycle tube patch kit. GP-2, as they call it, comes in a small plastic container (great when stuffed in the bottom of a camelbak) that floats and keeps the contents dry, clean, and in excellent condition. The kit includes sand paper that you use to smooth our the area you are applying the patch. The patches come off easy and stick to tubes very well. I’ve never had to re-patch a tube in an area I had previously patched. They are super cheap so next time you are at the bike store, grab a couple when you are at the counter. BTW, not only do they work on bike tubes but anything you inflate (e.g. Jenga Fetts inflatable jet pack, pool toys, etc.).

The first photo was Big Daddy and his pimp mobile, at least until we traded it in the next day for Black Betty, a Mustang that was a bit smaller and easier to navigate. The next two photos are of the pool at the Kaanapali Villas where we stayed in Maui.

Beach Photos
Row 1: The beach right outside our hotel. You could see both Lanai (pictured) and Molokai Islands. Next is a photo of what I think was Honolua Bay where we went snorkeling and kayaking a couple days.

Row 2 and 3: A few pictures of another bay where we found an excellent restaurant where we enjoyed a couple of breakfasts. You can see Lanai Island in the background of each photo.

These are photos taken near Mama’s Fish House at Hookipa Beach (I believe). We went to Mama’s the first time we were in Maui and loved it so much that we made dinner reservations for our 15th anniversary. It was the best, and most expensive meal, that I’ve had in my lifetime. We started with incredible drinks, a Pink Floyd (Maui’s own Ocean Vodka, with pineapple, lime and Crème de Banana) for Suzanne and a Maui Margarita (Cuervo Gold tequila, lime and pomegranate liqueur with Alae sea salt rim) for me. Then we had the Seared Beef Polynesian appetizer (with tomato, Maui onion, garlic and cilantro served in a grilled ripe papaya with olive oil and Kula lime juice). The appetizer was followed by another drink and then dinner. Ono (upcountry style with caramelized Maui onion, avocado and jasmine rice) for me and Mahi-mahi (stuffed with lobster, crab, Maui onion and baked in a macadamia nut crust) for Suzanne. If I remember correctly, Suzanne had the Mama’s Chocolate Kaua Pie and I know I had the Crème Brulèe with fresh Liliko’i. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff made a really big fuss over us (in a nice way). Most all of our staff wished us a happy anniversary and Suzanne even got lei’d. At the end of the meal, they gave us copy of all three menus (drink, dinner & dessert) and personalized them for us. If you are ever in Maui, you have to make it a point to go. You will not be disappointed.

Moab Day 3

Day three in Moab was just a ride on our way out of town to go back home. He went to the Top of the World trail. Again, the road to the trailhead was an adventure. Last time I was in Moab, we had Steve's convertible and stopped driving before we reached the real trail head.
