There is a hand unseen to aid
and a hand unseen to hinder
The hand of God is reaching out
While we in darkness wander
The sun by day, the moon by night
are hung so we can find our way
We feel the wrath that heals us,
the light that guides us day by day.
Flowers that bloom beside by house
are drunk with fragrance sweet and rare
Their colors show the rainbow hues
Vivid tints scattered here and there.
Purple robe, majesty, mighty,
festive, a King's array
Lord God, father of all mankind
He giveth, he taketh away.
Bright red flower, the blood of Christ
Cleanser of the flowering soul.
Favorite color, guiding light
A crimson beacon for our goal.
White, angel with gown of pure white
It is near by me night and day
I hear it sing of joy and peace
It leads and cheers me on my way.
Blue, true friends who come to help
So thoughtful, so willing to aid
The sky, a canopy engulfs me
when I am alone and afraid.
Yellow, more than all the others
Sweet nectar and bread for my needs
Food for my mind, health for my body
Strength for my soul, indeed.
Lord press me down, make me humble
Make me submissive to your will
Then lift me up and comfort me
Lord give me strength to climb the hill.
An unseen hand is waving out
It beckons me to come on home
I must abide my time with God
Be patient Dear. It won't be long.
