For now, we must drill in ANWR and the OCS to help offset the growing world demand for oil.  It is a matter of national security.  For the future, we must convert to electric vehicles.  The infrastructure is already in place, and we can gradually move from fossil fuel generation to renewables and nuclear.  For those of you who believe in global warming, electric cars emit no CO2 or other pollutants.  For those who dismiss global warming, you can pretend that your electric car is a gas guzzler, and still be happy because we can be free of our addiction to oil.
