In the evenings and weekends, I live the life of DJCyRo, entertaining and giving people a good time. During the week, I go by John Carr, network analyst for the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office.
I graduated from Northwestern High school in 1989 and attended DeVry Institute of Technology and majored in Computer Information Systems. I worked at a few hospitals, first as a account clerk, then as a Help Desk analyst for a few years until I moved to my current position as a computer analyst (official title on my paycheck), or assistant Network Engineer (what my boss calls me) at the BCSAO. All this experience in the corporate world has taught me one important thing that relays to the mobile entertainment industry. CUSTOMER SERVICE. At my main job, the employees are my customers, and I must give them 100% professional attention. In the DJ industry, you, the person reading this, are my customer, and you get the same attention to detail and professional service that I give every day.
I began my time in entertainment in the early 90's, booking bands at local clubs and centers. I began to know the local music scene very well. I began volunteering my time at the local recreation center as a DJ when they had to remove their DJ for budget reasons. I volunteered my vast amount of music, which contained all the latest hits. The kids at the center immediately loved it, and I've been the regular there for many years now.
