John Cook - The genius (and madness) behind Madman Lighting began working on models as a wee lad , but had taken a hiatus during his college years. His lovely wife Icie got him back into it when he turned thirty and for the past twelve years, it has been his passion. With theadvent of the DS9 model whose lighting job earned him the title of "that madman who lit up Deep Space 9," John's commitment to building quality lighting kits was born. From a few simple requests for lighting help, Madman Lighting was created and has continued to be a success to this day.
John's day job is based in the electronics industry, he has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Hartford, CT, and he is a do-it-yourself kind of guy. He can frequently be found tinkering with new ideas, working in the garden, and playing with his ferrets.

Icie Cook - (Yes, her name really is Icie) Icie has been the driving force, business manager, and chief-cook-and-bottle-washer for Madman Lighting since its inception in 2005. While she downplays her involvment, she has been John's inspiration and biggest supporter through the often-frustrating challenges presented in creating and producing kits.
Icie mainly works for Madman, has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Hesser College, and loves to sew renaissance clothing. She can be found working on computers, enjoying music, and traveling with the Madman to shows and exhibits.
