Community Challenge Fund

“Helping communities help themselves”

The Community Challenge Fund helps the poorest communities of the Dominican Republic with their basic needs. The Fund provides grants for community-based projects such as water, electricity, educational facilities, sanitation and health.  Grants of up to $2,500 are provided to pay for project materials while Dominican families contribute labor to build the improvements. On-site Peace Corps Volunteers help plan, coordinate and monitor projects, as well as account for project funds.  Your support will help assure these activities continue to improve the lives of Dominican families.
