Top: John McLaughlin in Hart Plaza, downtown Detroit.
Second: Dannie Richmond at the Frog Island Jazz and Blues Festival, Ypsilanti, Michigan, around 1984 or 85. He was playing with George Adams and Don Pullen.
Third, Richard Davis in performance at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Next: Vibes player Rob Pifo at the Pyramid Stage in Hart Plaza, downtown Detroit, 1988 or 89. He's playing here with Christopher Pitts EMX.
Last: Rennell Gonzalvez has played around Detroit and elsewhere for years. He claims a noble jazz heritage.
