The Lark in the Morning
This is a folk-rock arrangement of a traditional jig from the British Isles. There are several very different versions of "The Lark in the Morning"; this arrangement is based on the E Dorian version, as transcribed by John Chambers. John maintains an excellent resource for traditional music: his website JC's ABC tune finder. (ABC notation is a schema for transcribing melodies as plain ASCII text.) This tune is index #1 in his archive.
I arranged this MIDI sequence for fiddle, pennywhistle, rhythm guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, bodhran, and standard drum kit.
This sequence uses an expanded pitch bend range, so be sure to hit that "RESET" button if you don't play it all the way through.
Verification: this MIDI arrangement
