My mom always tell a story of going out to her flower bed to find me and all my friends digging in it. With, of course, me being the ringleader. Probably a few grey hairs there. :) Although something less of a success, that first foray into the dirt got me onto the path of gardening.

Although a city boy, I love my greenery. Soon after my first experience, I soon took over mom's flower beds, and eventually dug a veggie garden in the back yard, which I kept until I went to college

Once in college, life went to the potted plant. Some work. Some don't. Some have been with me for years. The height of which was an old apartment where I had fishnet on the ceiling and plants running through it. Over 50 house plants in total.

The next apartment had less sun, but a shared courtyard. Each spring we would put plants into all the window boxes and every other patch of dirt we could find. Each winder we decorated with evergreen (the pic on my main page. :)

Greenery culminates at my current place. I have house plants inside with a lovely western exposure. A porch that overflows with green in the summer. And, a community garden, loaded with perennials and veggies.

I swear I do nothing unusual. A little water, some sunshine and a little TLC. Mebbie I just have a knack. Mebbie I just know when to throw an ailing plant out. Who knows. In any case, I love gardening. I just with I could remember more of these plant names. :)

My love of green doesn't end with the home gardens. I love most anything green. :) Being a New England boy, I think I'll always have an affinity for rolling hills, forests, hiking and such. Also love 'gardens' from the Arboretum to Longwood Gardens. but that's for another page...
