Profile

Having owned Sasha Dolls for 40 years, I want to learn as much as I possibly can about their preservation and repair.
Three of my Sashas are 40 years old and are definitely showing their age.

In June 2006, the leading Sasha preservation expert in the U.S., Susanna Lewis, taught a small workshop for cleaning and restringing of Sasha dolls. The coordinator of that workshop was Nancy Miller, one of the top Sasha experts in the U.S. Nancy and I have known each other for a year and a half and she was instrumental in
helping me repair my most precious Sasha, that had been seriously damaged. Both of these highly-respected Sasha experts can vouch for me.

~ Shampoo hair and thoroughly clean body
~ Adjust tight stringing elastic (later Götz production)
~ Replace broken or missing neck rings or arm and leg hooks
~ Reshape deformed or misshapen bodies ("caving"), misshapen joints and heads
~ Erasing most stains and abrasions
