rade in Avalon takes place by ship as much as possible, as the center of the continent is sparesely-populated and hazardous. The only cross-continental route is the Midland Road from Mathalgwyn to Camberland; this route sees a considerable amount of trade, but chiefly in large caravans due to the hazard of monsters, bandits, wizards, and other dangers.

Many of the finest goods come from Bastythia: the best cloth from the Valstane region, the best wine and armor from Rhenedd, silk from Bastythia proper. From the north near the Giants' holdings come furs and amber, and from the distant Fortunate Isles come dyes and spices. From Mathalgwyn come finely-worked handicrafts, strange cloths, and books. More locally, Camberland imports fish and leather from Linchester, soap and cheeses from Arthany.
