Who am I? What is this page about?

I am a carpenter, a Construction Project Manager, a lifelong sailor and most importantly, Dad, to Barbara, now 14 years old. This dinghy, a Dudley Dix design called an Argie 10, was a bribe, for Barbara to focus on the necessity of doing homework daily and getting good grades during her first year of middle school. She then made the honor roll. The bribe also created a semi legitimate reason to build the dinghy, which I had been thinking about for a while.
