The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a red flag
warning...which is in effect from noon today to 5 PM EST this
afternoon. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire
Weather Watch is in effect Monday afternoon. The Fire Weather
Watch is no longer in effect.
Long durations of low relative humidity are expected again Sunday
afternoon as dry northwest flow continues over the area.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions...
long durations of low relative humidity or a combination of low
relative humidity and strong winds...are either occurring now...
or are forecast to occur in the next 24 hours.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather
conditions...long durations of low relative humidity or a
combination of low relative humidity and strong winds...are
possible between 24 and 72 hours.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a red flag
warning...which is in effect until 6 PM EDT this afternoon. A
Fire Weather Watch remains in effect Sunday afternoon.
Northwest winds have brought the first real shot of dry
Continental air into Florida this season. Combined with near
normal temperatures...this dry air will produce several hours of
rh values below 35% this afternoon. The gusty winds will subside
with sustained winds generally 10 to 14 mph.
Long durations of low relative humidity are expected once again
Sunday afternoon as dry northwest flow continues over the area.
