Profile
Joseph Campisi received his M.A. in
Psychology from
He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in physiological psychology concentrating on the physiology of addiction.
He has extensive graduate education in psychology, counseling, neuroscience, physiology, acupuncture, and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
His undergraduate education includes degrees in mathematics, computer science, and fine art.
Perspective
Counseling is based on a model of facilitating renewal and transformation of the whole person “body, mind, soul, and spirit”
from a perspective of health and strengths, and not pathologizing and medicalizing life into problems and disease.
All therapies are scientifically based, even when cutting edge, spiritual, existential, or experimental.

Therapies include HRV (heart rate variability) biofeedback, neurofeedback (EEG biofeedback),
Rogerian Person Centered Therapy (Carl Rogers), Solutions-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,
Gestalt Therapy, Virtue Therapy, Consciousness Therapy, and Shamanic Healing.
Nutritional counseling emphasizing optimal brain and neuroendocrine functioning is available.
