Hello again,

The van got us all the way to Bangor, ME with no more problems (that we're aware of).

We had a great time in Detroit with Chris' folks, Jim and Teri Miller.

They're great people and we feel good about leaving our "baby daughter" with such a fine family.

In addition to a nice evening at a restaurant on Thursday night, Teri went to great efforts to prepare a very nice home-cooked meal for us on Friday evening.

Their families are both from Kentucky and share the same values (German Catholic, are there any others?) as we do.

The Miller's dog, Hans, is also a very friendly fellow, unlike some other more feline characters near the Mississippi.

We left the Detroit area early Saturday, drove on the north side of Lake Erie through Canada and back into the U.S. at Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls was very similar to many other natural wonders in this country, with most of the visitors unable to speak English.

We proceeded east on I-90 through New York and Massachusetts and on into Maine on I-95.

Our plans are to visit St. Johns, New Brunswick and the Bay of Fundy the next two days. The weather looks like it will cooperate.
